This innovative program engages fathers to be involved in their children's education. The members of Dad's Club include fathers and other male role models (such as grandfathers, uncles, coaches, friends) and their elementary school children. Dad's Club participants convene for twice monthly club meetings, community service, and family nights. Meeting activities range from building reading and math skills to discussions on violence prevention.
SAY San Diego manages Dad's Clubs at over 24 San Diego elementary schools, with a special concentration on schools in Mid-City and Southeast San Diego.
