Project L.I.V.E. is a program for children at O’Farrell Charter School who have an incarcerated family member (or a family member who has been recently incarcerated). The goal is to help students who demonstrate poor social and academic skills, depression, or potential delinquency behaviors, resulting from the separation from their parent/caregiver, to become healthier emotionally, socially, and academically.
Project L.I.V.E. uses case management, individual and group counseling, and social enrichment activities to break the cycle of dysfunction and provide not only support, but concrete tools to deal with life in a high risk community. Program staff also works with the whole family to help with other needed resources.
Services are offered at O’Farrell Charter School.
