Description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the daily operation and management of before and after school program: the coordination of overall program activities, the on-site supervision of student interactions, and monitoring of attendance, academic and enrichment activities/special events. Also provide leadership and supervision/support to site staff. Current opening is at Doyle Licensed Program.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Certifications):

  • Minimum experience of one year (1-4 yrs. preferred), in the supervision and management of educational, and recreational programs for children ages 5 – 14 years old.
  • BA preferred in Child Development or Liberal Studies OR a minimum of 12 ECE units including an administration class.
  • Knowledge and competence of Microsoft Office.
  • Current CPR and First Aide must be provided within 30 days of employment.
  • Favorable pre-employment DOJ/FBI fingerprinting clearance and child abuse index processing required.
  • Favorable pre-employment TB test and health screening required.
  • Immunization Records (Influenza, Pertussis and Measles) must be provided within 30 days of employment.

Title Behavior Specialist – Child & Youth Development

Description

The Behavior Specialist position is directly responsible to a Senior Program Director. The Behavior Specialist will work with Preschool staff as well as Before and After School program staff to develop and implement behavior and prevention support strategies for children. This position will be required to work on site conducting observations and assessments, provide social-emotional educational groups for students as well as provide training and support to program staff on effective behavior management skills for students. QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Certifications):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Social Work, or related field preferred.
  • Two years’ experience working with children and staff in the human services field
  • Strong foundation in applied behavior analysis and understanding of behavior characteristics associated with behavior disorders in children.
  • Favorable pre-employment DOJ and FBI fingerprint clearance and child abuse index processing.
  • Favorable pre-employment drug, TB and Health Screen.
  • Immunization records (influenza, pertussis, and measles) must be provided within 30 days of employment.

THE TEACHER’S AIDE POSITION DOES NOT REQUIRE ANY COLLEGE-LEVEL COURSES OR UNITS

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least age 18 at time of hire
