October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
It is especially important now as the Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) has radically changed the lives of individuals. There are victims of abuse that have the added crisis of being quarantined at home with an abuser and/or social distancing from the community at a time they really need guidance and help.
SAY strives for a future community that puts an end to domestic violence. Join us in spreading awareness of those individuals in the “shadows” of the pandemic. If you or someone you know needs someone to talk to, please contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline: 1-800-799-7233 (SAFE), direct them to the San Diego Family Justice Center, or SAY’s domestic violence resource page. https://www.saysandiego.org/…/domestic-violence-resources/
