For several decades, SAY San Diego has provided holiday cheer and support to children and families. This year, striving to come through the COVID-19 crisis, we need to be especially responsive and help families more than ever. Many families are facing tough challenges, with record-high cost of living and expenses to meet every-day needs. The holiday season can add extra stress and heightened expectations for parents and leave children with feelings of disappointment. This year’s Holiday Hopes Gift Drive is designed to help alleviate some of that stress and allow families to experience the joy of the holidays.
Help us achieve our goal of raising $25,000 to provide 250+ families year with $100 in gift cards that they can immediately use for groceries, a festive meal, household essentials, books, toys and clothing. All gifts will be matched and doubled in impact by a grant provided by Alliance Healthcare Foundation! Funds collected with go 100% to purchasing gift cards for deserving San Diego families.

Join SAY San Diego in supporting the Light Our Way campaign and its’ mission of celebrating hope, joy, and resilience of all San Diegans who are striving to make it through these uncertain times. In 2020 our partners at Advocates for Change Today, designed a three-day campaign as a way to honor graduates who were embarking on a new chapter while in the midst of a global pandemic. The campaign asks community members to engage in activities that would encourage, inspire celebrate those who need it the most. This year, the campaign is expanding its vision beyond graduates to include all San Diegans. As we are all experiencing new changes and challenges, whether that be reentering the workforce, developing social anxiety or graduating. There are still many unknowns but, together we can navigate this new normal and come out on the other side stronger!
Help show your support by wearing green, using the hashtag Light Our Way, and sharing inspiring messages of resiliency and hope!
